How we confirm what we publish.
A finding is published when independent sources agree on it. Every row carries how confident we are and the date it was confirmed, and we will back any row on request.
The standard
Most construction intelligence is a single claim from a single place, repeated until it sounds true. Ours is not published until separate sources, gathered independently of each other, say the same thing. When they disagree, the disagreement is the finding, and we say so rather than picking the version that reads better.
What a row tells you
- Confidence, in plain words. Every project and every company attached to it is labeled by how well it is corroborated: confirmed across several independent sources, supported by more than one, or reported once and still being watched.
- A date. Construction data goes stale in weeks. Each row says when it was confirmed, so you know whether you are looking at this month's picture or last quarter's.
- A role, not a guess. We distinguish the owner, the general contractor and the trade contractors under them, because calling the wrong one wastes the call.
- What is still unknown. A project we can see but cannot yet attribute is published as exactly that, on an early-call list. An empty field is more useful than a filled one that is wrong.
Verification on request
If a row matters enough to act on and you want it backed, ask. We will walk through what supports that specific attribution and, if we got it wrong, we correct it and tell you. We would rather lose an argument than keep a bad row.
What we will not do
- We do not resell another company's database. Our picture is assembled by our own analysis, which is why we can back it.
- We do not fabricate a project from a hiring signal. A company staffing up tells you a company is busy. It does not tell you what they are building, and we keep those two things separate.
- We do not publish site addresses that put a crew or a client at risk, and we do not identify individual workers.
- We do not treat volume as quality. Adding the same finding twice from two places that copied each other corrupts every number it touches, so a duplicate is removed rather than counted.
